Cool Breeze Cottage

I recently stayed at Cool Breeze with a few close friends, and we had a wonderful experience. The property was extremely clean and well cared for, which made settling in easy. The location of the home was fantastic! peaceful, quiet, and perfectly situated for enjoying the beauty of the area. The morning and evening views were truly a delight. Whether we were relaxing on the deck, grilling out and chatting, the scenery really helped if you’re looking for an escape. The neighborhood itself is calm and welcoming, and we appreciated how convenient everything was. There’s a grocery store about 10 minutes away, along with a few nearby restaurants where we received great service too. Granted during our four day stay we only found ourselves leaving the property twice because for our purposes, we didn’t need to. Overall, Cool Breeze was the perfect place for our getaway. We were able to reconnect, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. I’d absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic stay in Moneta.

The property was very well-maintained and close to the lake, which was perfect for the kids to go swimming. Would definitely stay here again.

If your goal is to be on a great spot in the lake and be on the water, rent the house! The dock setup was great even with water levels down 5 feet. Its in the big open water section so no cove issues. Views are awesome and it was fun to watch all the boats go back and forth. The setup of the house is comfortable and the yard is great for hanging out. Not deal breakers, but the the dishwasher is small and the clothes washer/dryer combo isn't the most efficient. (Reasons for reducing 1 star.)

Another great stay at the Cool Breeze Cottage! As we have returned there many times since our first visit in the Spring of 2023, we always feel like we are “returning” home as we open the door! We consistently find the cottage well maintained and equipped and most importantly…very clean! There are many things we love about this place, but if I had to list our favorite-the VIEW tops the list. Second to that would be the ease with which we can access the dock and water. It’s so easy I don’t have to even think about packing the cooler for a day on the water as I can easily scoot back to the house for “refueling”! Additionally, the quiet, well established neighborhood is great for morning/evening strolls. I was concerned that the current low water levels would impact our boat docking, but fortunately the water level at the floating dock was adequate for docking with no real issues. Can’t wait to go back!

To answer the suggested questions; we were overall very pleased with Cool Breeze. Though the reverse layout of the home was cumbersome we adjusted quickly, the walk to the breathtaking waterfront was extremely comfortable as was the parking and also docking our rental pontoon could not have been easier. the best amenity of the week was the spectacular view. The dock was easy to access from land and water and while launching the kayaks as well. The kitchen was well equipped as was the grill utensils. The firepit was simple to access. The only negative was that upon our arrival we were immediately confronted with overflowing garbage left by the previous renters and the cleaning service and it took 2 days to get SMLVR to respond to the number we were given for emergencies. We would highly recommend the homeowners/SMLVR spring for garbage pickup since even the homes neighbor was surprised it was not provided as it is quite inexpensive. We will certainly consider returning.
