O'Neill's Getaway

We had a great week at O’Neill’s Getaway with our whole family. Finding a lakefront house this size at such an affordable price is a unicorn! - especially when you’re trying to get a big family together under one roof. There was plenty of room for everyone, and having two refrigerators was great with a group our size. We especially enjoyed the screened porch, pool table, and fire pit. There is definitely a trek down to the dock, and the stairs will give you a workout, but for us it was worth every step. The beach and lake area were a great place to spend the day, and having the whole family together for a week made it even better. O’Neill’s is a comfortable, practical lake house and a really good value for a large group. We made some great family memories here and would happily come back.

The house is clean, bright, and thoughtfully set up for a group—plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. I loved starting my mornings in the peaceful meditation garden and ending the day on the screened-in porch with a glass of wine. The kitchen was well-equipped. They have everything- spices, cookware, tons of plates and cups, without washing dishes after every meal. Having two full-size refrigerators made meal prep so much easier. The kids had a blast playing pool downstairs and swimming at the beach area by the dock. The setting is private and quiet—lots of shade and space to enjoy the outdoors. We felt tucked away, yet still close to everything by car or boat. The dock was large enough for all of us to enjoy at once.

Our big family (13 of us!) had a wonderful stay at this comfortable, clean, and well furnished home. It’s not fancy, but it had everything we needed for a relaxing week together. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and we really appreciated the quiet spots to retreat, like the little meditation garden. The house felt very welcoming, with a cozy living area, pool table, and a big grill that made family meals easy. The shady yard and natural sandy beach were great for the kids to play and the grownups to unwind. The walk to the dock is a bit of a hike, especially for older folks, but the setting is peaceful and worth it. We’ve already booked again for next summer—this home gave us the space and comfort we were looking for, and the price was great.
