Blue Ridge Beach

We enjoyed our stay and this home!! The beach/swim area was amazing especially for little kids. The walk down to the water is very very easy. Dock was in great shape. While it is in a kinda cove it seemed to be a popular place to tube and wake board so bring extra bumpers to tie up to the dock good bit of daytime wake. The house was very roomy and very accommodating. Kitchen has everything we needed and then some !! The driveway is a bit steep but not crazy. Parking a larger boat trailer would be a bit challenging/tight. We had 2 single jet ski trailers and it was very doable. Also taking the trash out might be challenging for anyone elderly or with disabilities. The only thing that I can suggest to make it better would be to allow use of the jet ski boat lift and update the downstairs mattresses they are springy and not the most comfortable. We would for sure stay here again :)

This is our third year at this home. We already booked for next summer - same week. The house is beautifully maintained, and we loved how it had all the little extras that made our stay comfortable—like both Keurig and drip coffee makers, plenty of outdoor seating, and big windows that let you enjoy the views even when you’re inside. The screened porch was a favorite spot in the mornings, and the downstairs rec area with the pool table was great for winding down at night. We spent our days kayaking, paddleboarding, and lounging on the sandy beach—there was always something fun to do without ever leaving the property. The fire pit was perfect for evening s’mores and storytelling, and the gentle slope to the water made it easy for everyone in our group to get around. We also took a short boat ride to the state park across the lake for hiking and a picnic. It’s such a peaceful, private setting but still close to shops and restaurants by car or boat. Truly one of the best lake homes we’ve stayed in—we’d come back in a heartbeat!

This home was absolutely perfect for our family getaway! This is our sixth year coming to SML. As we walked in, the lake views popped out—they’re visible from almost every room and make the whole house feel peaceful and relaxing. We had plenty of space to be together without feeling crowded, and the layout was great for both early risers and those who like to sleep in. The private beach was a huge hit with the kids, and we felt completely safe letting them play while we watched from the porch or dock. We used the kayaks and paddleboard every day, and the fishing off the dock kept everyone entertained. Evenings around the fire pit were such a treat, and the house itself was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped for family meals and game nights. The setting is quiet and private, but still close to everything we needed. We’re already talking about when we can come back!
