Live, Love, Lake! In Bernard's Landing Resort

The unit was well furnished with furniture, beds were comfortable, Kitchen was stocked for cooking, good appliances, plenty of dishware, glassware and utensils. Really appreciated the quick dry cushions on the exterior furniture since the decks are uncovered. Parking is good. Entrance to the condo has several flights of covered stairs. Condo location is an easy walk to a boat slip and the outdoor amenities of Bernard's Landing. Appreciated the pocket door on the entry to the metal spiral staircase that leads to the loft area bedroom and bath. Appreciated the closet space, luggage racks and drying rack for wet clothes. Realty office was very responsive. Window treatments were effective for sun protection during the day.

The condo was the third floor of the building, which I did not read anywhere that we had stairs to climb, but it worked out just fine. The location was near the lake, which gave us beautiful views and plenty for the kids to do with indoor facilities, a short walk away the condo we stayed in had the enclosed loft which our grandson‘s age 11 and 13 enjoyed. This condo was also close enough to drive to the marina where there were a few businesses open in November and also restaurants nearby.

The Smith Mountain Lake is an amazing place and Bernards Landing is an excellent property. See PicsOur problem was with communication from the property management group. We did not communicate directly with the owner. In the arrival instructions they told us to bring all this basic stuff- Toilet paper, trash fbags, dishwasher soap, etc. Never heard of such a thing and I tried to confirm this unusual instruction, but they didn’t respond. So we had to scramble last minute to buy all this stuff. As it turns out the unit was as well supplied as any place I’ve stayed in. Great place, poor communication.

Stayed here with a couple of buddies for a fishing trip and it worked out great. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of space, and a bathroom for each of us. The location was perfect—right near the dock, so getting out on the water was quick and hassle-free. After a long day fishing, it was nice to come back and relax on the deck with the lake and mountain views. We used the indoor hot tub and pool. With so many places to choose from at Bernard’s Landing, this one was great and within our budget. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a solid place to stay with everything close by. We’d book it again.

Great condo in a great location. The place was clean, updated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from both decks were terrific, especially at sunset. We really liked the modern kitchen with solid appliances. Could use a few more plastic cups for outdoor use- The main floor had two good-sized queen bedrooms, and the loft upstairs was perfect for the kids, with their own bathroom and extra space. The setup gave everyone enough room to spread out. It’s just a short walk to the dock, beach, pools, and tennis courts, and we enjoyed having the restaurant and bar right on-site. Easy access by car or boat, and only about 15 minutes to groceries. Overall, a solid spot for a family trip or weekend getaway—we’d definitely stay here again.
