Latitude Adjustment

The house was super clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you need. The dock was very nice. The only trouble we had was the upstairs shower leaked into the kitchen. Thankfully we caught it in time and reported it to the office. The only other thing like most vacation rentals the water filter in the refrigerator needed changed, along with the furnace filters. The house water system probably needs service too. Overall I would recommend this home to everyone.

Overall, we had a great stay! We enjoyed the space outside the home and the screened-in patio. The walk to the dock was tolerable for all; it was a bit steep but expected. The dock area was rough to swim at, given that our rental boat had to be placed on the floater, and the waves the dock took sometimes seemed unsafe. I wish we had known the dock/ home was off the main channel. We swam in a local cove instead. What we found to be a downfall was the smell of sulfur from the faucets, which got worse throughout the week. The other issue we had was bugs. There were a few centipedes (mostly in the basement and ants in the kitchen). I do feel the property could use a good treatment to negate the issue. Overall, we had a wonderful stay with a big, beautiful kitchen and open living room. We felt we got good value for our money. Thank you!

Property Manager Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Latitude Adjustment. The Independence Week celebration is the busiest on the lake, so it is full of boat traffic and the waves that come with it. Lifts are for owner use only as they are modified to fit specific boat hulls, and insurance does not allow renter use. We provide a map of the location of homes so you can see where you are renting on the water and in what channel. The house has a water filter system, and filters are changed monthly during peak season. I wish you had contacted the office about the smell and pest problems, as all homes have protocols in place to address these issues We are glad you were able to enjoy the house and felt it was a good value.
