Autumn Holiday

The house was a great location, just as described. The house was a little tight but was priced accordingly. everything was clean and in working order. I rated it a 5. The only drawback was the dock. Since the drought has the water so low, I did not give it a bad rating but we could not swim at all from the dock and I had to anchor my boat off of the dock and have 2 people to get my family on the boat every day. I probably would not stay here again, unless a floating dock was installed, or the water returns to normal levels.

Boat parking was an issue but aside from that this place always delivers the fun House is always right and customer service is excellent even if there is an issue (at11:00pm) Thank you for a great time

This house was perfect for our family of 4, plus two grandparents and a dog. We loved the dock, we could jump, fish, swim and even dock our boat over night. The kitchen was fully stocked and the basement was nice and cool for those rainy afternoons for the kids to play.

This house fits our family better than any other place on the lake—and it’s still affordable, which is getting harder to find these days. My wife, two sons, and I have been coming here for years, and every time we pull in, it feels like coming home. Honestly, if the owners ever decide to sell, I hope I get first dibs. The kids love the basement hangout and are always down by the water with our dog. Being less than a mile from Smith Mountain Lake State Park is a huge bonus—we hike there almost every trip. And now with the new General Market just down the road, it’s easy to grab anything we need without a drive to Food Lion. The rental company has been fantastic to work with over the years. We send them photos of the boys with the fish they catch, and they treat us like part of the family. We absolutely love this place. The only downside? Having to leave at the end of the week.

We really enjoy Autumn Holiday; we have been coming here for a few years now. It is always very clean and comfortable. The staff at Smith Mountain Lake Vacation Rentals is always friendly and helpful! We look forward to next year already.
