Flip Flop Hideaway

Our family has stayed here several times, and it is quite amazing. The Waterview is spectacular from the deck at the house and the dock on the water. It is easy access, a gentle slope. Is very easy to pull a pontoon in and out. The yard is heavenly with a lower covered deck, as well as an upper covered deck. It had every amenity and then some, the carport is perfect to pull your vehicle under if it is raining. There are quite a few deer. And it is fenced in on both sides, which makes it wonderful to bring your dog. The home is very spacious with several living rooms inside, open and airy. All of the beds were extremely comfortable and three bathrooms was an absolute gem. It is in a quiet cove, including a large cooler down on the dock for your use. It also has a little clubhouse to store your floats and rafts. This Vacation was exceptional by all family members. Of course Candy, Josie and Teresa at Smith Mountain Lake Vacation Rentals have accommodated us on every vacation, very quick response if we have needed them, and just such a joy to rent through. We absolutely loved this home and them.!

We loved our stay at this house so much that we extended our visit by an extra day! The setting in the cove is incredibly peaceful, providing easy access to the main part of the lake for boating and jet skiing. We slept like babies in comfortable beds, and our evenings were spent chatting around the fire pit, steps away from a large beach area that the kids adored. The kitchen was perfectly equipped for big family meals, making our time together even more special. I enjoyed starting my day in the sunroom, sipping coffee while soaking in the stunning lake views and watching the birds and deer in the surrounding woods. We had no issues keeping our rented boat at the property, thanks to the dock with cleats ready for our dock lines. We highly recommend this rental and look forward to returning next spring or summer. It truly is a magical place!

We had an incredible stay at this short-term rental at Smith Mountain Lake, and let me tell you—it was worth every penny! Our party consisted of four adults, two teens, and one fur monster. The space was perfect for our group and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The carport was a savior, as when we arrived, it was raining, and we could unpack and park undercover. The house was spotless, and the kitchen was impressively stocked, allowing us to whip up meals quickly. One of our favorite features was the stunning sunroom across the back of the house—just a beautiful spot to relax and take in the views. The kids loved the paddleboat, and we spent countless hours fishing from the enormous dock. We had a line in the water almost the entire trip and caught several good-sized fish, which added to the fun! I was also impressed by the rental company. They went above and beyond by sending a service tech to check on something we hadn’t noticed, and their attention to detail was much appreciated. Having rented at the lake for years, we can confidently say this has been our best experience yet. We've already reserved this house for a week next July and can’t wait to return!

I wrote a review when I rented this house last year but decided to submit another one. It's a fantastic house - the layout is really great and it has a big sunroom that has huge windows with a gorgeous view of the lake. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The house has a great beach and swimming area and the yard is fully fenced in. If you're renting a boat, the boathouse is well-maintained and with a good space to park your boat. Based on the feedback from the folks I traveled with, the beds upstairs aren't super comfy so mattress toppers might be helpful. The bed downstairs is comfortable. Also, Parkway Marina is close by for kayak rentals. I highly recommend this house!
