Something Special

This home was even better than we expected! Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice. The house is beautiful, inside and out, and everything was spotless and so well cared for. From the minute we walked in, we felt relaxed and at home. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out, and the setup was perfect for both quiet downtime and group fun. The kids loved the media room and playing foosball downstairs, while we enjoyed morning coffee in the sunroom with those peaceful lake views. The kitchen had everything we needed, and having a second fridge downstairs was super convenient. The outdoor areas were our favorite—the deck was great for dinners outside, and the gentle walk down to the dock made swimming and fishing easy. We ended every night around the fire pit under the stars. It’s tucked into a quiet, beautiful neighborhood but still close to stores and restaurants. Only one request- next time we would like to bring a dog is possible-I know you are not pet friendly but it would be great!

We had a fantastic long weekend stay at "Something Special" on Smith Mountain Lake! The house was the perfect fit for our family, with plenty of space for me, my husband, and our three children (including our son, who attends Virginia Tech). The drive to campus was just an hour and 15 minutes, making visiting him easy. The home is located in a beautiful area on the lake, right near a golf course, making the surroundings peaceful and scenic. The 3-bedroom house had everything we needed, and it was comfortable for all of us. On Sunday, my son and his roommates joined us for the day, and we spent the time playing board games and foosball and watching football on the big screen TV. There was no shortage of food, either—we ate a ton! One of the highlights was the firepit just outside the house. We had it going most of the evening and really enjoyed hanging out by the fire, especially after a fun-filled day. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us! We had such a great time and definitely plan to return for my son's graduation. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway on Smith Mountain Lake!
