Mountain Lake Lodge

We had a great stay at Mountain Lake Lodge. The place really feels like a getaway spot right on the water. I spent mornings out on the lakeside decks with coffee and evenings down by the fire pit (bring your own wood). The swing overlooking the lake was a favorite spot to just relax and take it all in. The lodge itself has everything you need—plenty of space inside, a wood-burning fireplace (again, BYO wood), and a gas grill that made cooking easy. Between the patios, sitting areas, and that view, it was hard to leave. Perfect spot for a laid-back weekend with friends or family. I would definitely come back. —Andrew

Wonderful stay, beautiful home, great time on the lake

This is a beautiful home near the end of a no wake cove. Water is shallow but navigable into and out of the dock. Dock has electrical outlets if needed for bass boat charging requirements. House has more than enough amenities. Outside, there is a deck for sunning, grill for grilling, fire pit for fires. All large and well maintained. Inside has a huge great room with large stone fireplace, large kitchen, and long tables for family dinners. Screened in porch in case the bugs are biting and doggie doors if your pet comes along. House sits on a walkable hill, great calf burner, but a round about way with a path and steps if you’re not so inclined. The one thing any rental house needs is a commercial ice machine.

Your rental agency is amazing! I was very pleased with your courtesy and assistance in making sure the Mountain Lake Lodge was a very pleasant experience for our family. The Mountain Lake Lodge is in a nice quiet safe area, very spacious, clean, nicely maintained, wonderful water views, great dock, screened porch, fire pit, there is comfortable furniture throughout the property, and the slope to the water is an easy walk. It was nice to have TVs in all the bedrooms and living areas. I would rent Mountain Lake Lodge again. Mountain Lake Lodge is convenient to various restaurants, grocery stores and the SML State Park. The only negative is the renter is responsible to take the trash off the property. It would better if the owner had trash pick up because the convenience center where we were instructed to take the trash was closed due to the holiday. We had to carry our trash bags in our vehicles back to our home to dispose of properly. I would definitely use your rental agency again. Thank you again for being readily available when I had questions. Your concern towards making sure we were in a comfortable, clean, and safe rental made our visit enjoyable.

We had an exceptional stay at Mountain Lake Lodge. The spacious layout provided plenty of room, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were accommodating and comfortable. After five years of renting at SML, this property quickly became one of my favorites. The home was lovely, clean, and well-appointed, with a kitchen that had everything we needed. The extra refrigerator was a great touch, allowing us to keep drinks separate. The dock in a quiet cove offered plenty of space for swimmers and was perfect for uninterrupted swimming and stand-up paddleboarding. We enjoyed the cornhole set on the large deck and made great use of the firepit each night. The screened-in patio deck was a particular highlight for me. The location was ideal, with Bridgewater Plaza just a short 10-minute drive away for dining and shopping. We are already looking forward to our next trip next summer.
